From November 2024, Schenck Process re-enters the markets of South America, Southern Africa, and Oceania under the new name Qlar. The company, which rebranded earlier this year, aims to focus on supporting circular transformation in industries such as cement, steel, chemicals and performance materials. Following the conclusion of a non-compete agreement with Sandvik, Qlar is now able to offer aftermarket services, spare parts and maintenance for existing Schenck Process installations in these regions, alongside new Qlar solutions designed to be digitally enabled and sustainable.
Schenck Process sold its mining business to Sandvik in 2022, temporarily exiting these markets. Under the Qlar brand, the company states that it plans to strengthen existing partnerships while introducing innovative offerings to support decarbonization efforts.
"With our experienced Qlar team, we can support Schenck Process solution owners in the best possible way with our aftermarket, spare parts, and maintenance services on-site," said Dr. Jörg Ulrich, President and CEO of Qlar Group. He adds that the company also aims to deliver new digitally enabled and sustainable products to meet evolving industry needs.
