ANDRITZ Perfojet, a developer of nonwovens technology, is marking 40 years of operation. The company is known for its hydroentanglement systems, which enable fiber bonding without binders and has installed more than 300 Jetlace™ units globally. These systems support applications including filtration, geotextiles and industrial products, contributing to advancements in efficiency and material performance.
In recent years, the company has expanded its focus on sustainability. Its spunlace lines and drying technologies facilitate the use of fully sustainable fibers while offering energy savings of up to 15%. Research initiatives are exploring alternatives to plastics and integrating fibers like viscose, recycled materials and natural fibers. Pilot facilities in Montbonnot, France, allow clients to test new materials, including those suited to industries prioritizing resource-efficient solutions.
“As we celebrate this milestone, we are proud of our heritage and excited about the future within the ANDRITZ Nonwoven & Textile global team. Our focus is to provide sustainable, resource-efficient technologies and economically viable solutions that support the green transformation of the nonwovens industry.” said Bruno Roche, Managing Director of ANDRITZ Perfojet.
