Excavator Offers More Power

Komatsu America introduced the PC2000-11 hydraulic excavator. Equipped with a Tier 4 Final engine, the shovel offers faster cycle times and improved multifunction performance, Komatsu reported.

The PC2000-11 is designed to be paired with 70-ton to 200- ton rigid haulers and is excellent for loading shot rock, company leadership said. New EPC valves optimize increased equipment speed. A stronger boom increases durability and complements productivity enhancements. With heavy lift mode, the unit offers 10% more boom-lifting force over predecessor competition.

The excavator has a simplified power module that provides excellent accessibility and low noise levels, and reduces labor hours, Komatsu reported. KomVision, the company’s machine monitoring system, comes standard. The seven-camera system provides a 360° view of the working area on a 10.4-in. screen, the company reported.
