Using a scanner and the Nexans Smart Inventory Management (SIM) app on a smartphone, the user can access identification data, repair history, technical data, repair manuals and other important information. History can include damage incidents, repairs and post-repair data. SIM information is easy to access and share, the company reported. The RFID chips are programmed prior to shipping.
