Phoenix’ - ModCom® 3 Series

Working on manufacturer and operator feedback, lighting pioneer Phoenix, recently unveiled the next generation of their heavy-duty floodlights for the mining industry, the ModCom 3 Series.

Focused of rugged, purpose-built lighting for rope shovels, draglines, drills, stacker/reclaimers, hazardous locations, and demanding facility applications, the series robust construction features cast aluminium housing and powder-coated steel mounting. The fixtures have passed rigorous testing for resistance to shock, vibration, temperature, and impact and a variety of mounting brackets allow for it to be easily installed, regardless of the existing fixture or mounting.

One of the distinguishing innovations of the ModCom 3 is a patented “no-glare” optic option that eliminates glare to surrounding equipment operators. Glare caused by floodlights can now be eliminated as haul trucks or other auxiliary equipment approach the shovel or dragline. It also is offered with a variety of optic options ranging from wide flood to very narrow spot, making it the fixture ideal for any surface mining equipment.
