Located in Antofagasta, this is the first automated mining tire recycling plant in Chile and is an industry leading environmental solution for Off The Road (OTR) tire recycling. The scrap tires are transported to the plant, then they are then cleaned, cut and stacked into pieces that will fit into the specially designed chamber where they are processed using heat in a vaccum - this process is called thermal conversion. This process converts tires back into their original components for repurposing and reuse into various new products.
