Virtual Reality Tools for Training

Immersive Technologies reported its Mine Standards Training tool uses the Worksite VR Quest platform. The tool has engaging 3D simulated content, such as drilling and blasting, ground-engagement tools, supervisor training, pit priority rules, and related situations.

The tool and platform can put the learner in a replicated mining environment, the company reported. They offer the capability to simulate a scenario or process and then analyse it from different angles and perspectives. The solutions can be used to improve existing training programs to give higher levels of learner engagement and knowledge retention.
