Epiroc has announced its long-term sustainability targets for 2030, aligning with the Paris Agreement and the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. A primary objective under the "People - Health and Safety" initiative is to achieve zero work-related injuries.
To further this aim, Epiroc has introduced the "Live Work Elimination" program, which encompasses a broader strategy beyond its current product offerings. This initiative is designed to improve safety standards within the mining industry.
"The goal of our LWE program is to make sure that when people work on our equipment, they are not exposed to any energy that would put them in harm's way and cause injury. Our product portfolio is part of this, but it's also about change management and reinforcing the safety culture in our industry," said Lori-Anne Fleming, Epiroc Live Work Elimination Program Manager.
